India natural rubber production fell by 25% in November
India rubber administration announced in December 17th, the country's November natural rubber production fell by 25% tons to 64000 tons. As of the end of 11 India natural rubber inventories totaled 210000 tons, 246000 tons lower than the same period last year. India 4-11 natural rubber consumptionincreased by 4.6% to 678785 tons; import volume is 298490 tons; exports amounted to 197 tons, far below the 4529 tons the same period last year. This trend implies that the global latex tube, silicone tube, rubber tube industry downturn, but it's only temporary. May be affected by western countries ineconomic crisis.
In such a trend, the expected 2014-2015 annual India rubber production willdrop by at least 10%-12%, will exacerbate the problem of survival rubbergrowers. BennyKuriakose says the local farmers, many small and medium-sizedfarmers in the past few years has been suspended for tapping, and plans to dismantle their plantations. He said the average daily need to pay, including wages, cost is higher, but the return is too low. Therefore, the rubber yielddropped significantly in the past six months.
